All on Four Dental Implants: Dental Drills & Test Equipment

All on Four dental implants

Demystifying All on Four dental implants is worth talking about, because they’re all the rage with dentists and their patients – with only Invisalign ahead of them, and of course toothache and pain being a top priority for dental patients.

So – what are All on 4?

The term All-on-4® refers to the fact that this technology allows for a full set of upper and/or lower replacement teeth to be permanently affixed in the patient’s mouth, anchored by a total of as few as 4 dental implants per set of teeth. Conversely, a full mouth of implants using traditional methods would require 8-10 implants per jaw and significantly higher costs and longer recovery time.

Because only 4 to 6 implants are generally necessary (with some exceptions), the procedure is much less costly than other replacement options and the entire process is much quicker as well. This means far less downtime for patients and a quicker road to recovery as well as a shorter journey to looking their best and to the resumption of normal eating habits.

They’re big everywhere now – from New York to London, to Paris to Tokyo, Sydney, Auckland, Melbourne and Brisbane.

In addition, unlike with traditional dentures, the All-on-4® “implant supported denture” allows the mouth’s supporting bones to keep their shape. On the contrary, when wearing traditional “false teeth” the jaw bones gradually shrink as there are no teeth or implants to help maintain bone structure.

This change in shape causes the dentures to become loose and, as such, the dentures may need to be periodically replaced, adding to the expense a patient must shoulder during their lifetime.

The benefits of All-on-4® treatment

After consultations about various options for teeth replacement, including conventional dentures, many patients opt for All-on-4® “hybrid” dentures because of the many advantages this technology provides. With All-on-4®:

• Full arch rehabilitation is achieved with as few as 4 implants
• Patients enjoy minimum recovery time and immediate function of their new teeth
• Dentures remain tightly in place and don’t have to be removed for cleaning
• The solution is often more affordable than other implant replacement options as fewer implants and bone grafting procedures are generally required.
• Patients with bone loss can take advantage of this technology
• Top dentures do not require coverage of the roof of the mouth to maintain stability
• An excellent success rate has been recorded amongst patients choosing the All-on-4® treatment option
• Ultimately, patients receive a beautiful, dazzling smile and the restored self-confidence that comes with straight, white, healthy-appearing teeth

About the procedure

It’s said by many that dental technology may have reached its zenith in All on 4 dental implants alongside Instagram and its new rivals Smilestyler and Myobrace.

Any remaining teeth will have been extracted before your AO4 surgery. This can be done on the same day though your surgeon may schedule it for a different time, depending on your individual situation.

Surgery begins with anaesthesia, which might be “local” numbing injections in the gums or could potentially be a general anaesthetic that will put you to sleep, if you prefer. Once remaining teeth are extracted, your surgeon will determine if you require bone grafting prior to implant placement. If no bone grafting is required, your own jaw bones will be smoothened in preparation for your implants.

Your implants will be placed with the help of a computer-generated custom surgical splint, that will allow your surgeon to perfectly locate the implants in your jaw bone. After the implants are placed, any incisions are stitched and the mouth is cleaned.

At this point, you’ll be fitted with your new teeth. You may receive a temporary “immediate denture” first, which is lighter and will put less pressure on the implants. This will be replaced just a few months later with your “permanent” teeth.

These are reasons why people choose implants over veneers – confidence in the dental technology is at all all-time high.

Your surgeon will provide instructions on after-surgery care and you will be instructed as to when to return for regular check-ups and maintenance. With proper care and regular dental visits, your new teeth can last a lifetime.

Dental Drills Need a Lot of Training

In 2004, a group of Alaska Native students returned from training in New Zealand and became Alaska’s first Dental Health Aide Therapists. In response to a need for regular oral health care in the Alaska Tribal Health System, DHATs were pioneers in providing access to mid-level dental care and prevention services for Alaska Native people living in rural communities across the state.

In addition to expanding care in Alaska, the ADTEP also supports expanding dental care in Tribal communities across the United States. Since 2015, 13 students representing Tribes from the Pacific Northwest have enrolled in the program. In 2016, the first Alaska educated DHAT was hired by the Swinomish Tribe in Washington to assist their dental team in meeting the overwhelming oral health care needs of their tribal members.

Alaska’s DHATs and ANTHC’s Educational Program are recognised as the model of success for improving oral health and access to care for rural populations around the world.

ANTHC partners with the Iḷisaġvik Tribal College and offers an Associate’s Degree in Dental Therapy. Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona and New Mexico passed legislation and approved DHAT Programs in their states. ANTHC also provides DHAT Educational opportunities for First Nations students from Canada under the Jay Treaty.

In Summary

All-on-4® is a minimally invasive method of placing a full mouth of implants only using four implants to support a full arch (upper or lower) fixed non-removable replacement teeth. All-on-4® allows you to have a full set of teeth without having to undergo multiple surgeries and replacements to place a full set of implants in your mouth. Indeed, while office and clinic technology like Sharepoint is complex now it’s important for customers that demystification is overcome with communication. The greatest thing about All-on-4® is that the procedure we can typically complete it in our office during one appointment under local anaesthesia. For patients who have lost all their teeth or may need to have the remaining teeth pulled due to decay, this is an amazing advancement that allows them to have a full set of teeth without undergoing multiple procedures. Simultaneously, this solution gives patients the kind of teeth that look real and act like the original teeth.

electrical switchboard

Upgrades, upgrades, upgrades! Always having to upgrade everything – but most of us forget to upgrade that one thing that truly matters – ourselves! Our relationships, our consciousness, our living spirits. They get neglected as the sewers.

Yet one type of person who continues to evolve is the humble electrician – well they’re just not so humble any more! They’re doing yoga, breathwork, Wim Hof method, 5Rhythms dance, meditation, Lovefest weekend festivals, and they’re not getting sick. Ever heard of an electrician dying of Covid? No, never.

Because electricians know that if you don’t upgrade things, you can die. Their lives are lived in the spark of the original Big Bang – their characters are volcanic, hot lava flooding the suburbs with their upgraded mindset.

Heroes of the modern age, renaissance women and men, they know that upgrading to the most reliable switchboard is just one of those things they want to help people do.

Luxury is a by-product of an upgraded emotional intelligence. Think of what the dentists most need in their lives. If you want luxury kitchens and bathrooms, you need reliability before you need renovations – create the platform for life at its best in your local neighbourhood.

If you’re vaccine hesitant, if you’re anti-vaxxer, that doesn’t mean diddly-squat. If you’re upgrading your immune system, if you’ve got garden lighting installed, heck if you even have a garden, and you sun your anus in it as every yoga practitioner does, you’re on the path to momentous upgrades weekly, monthly or even daily.

If you’ve ever ended up catching anxiety and know what it’s like to suffer from it 24/7 for three years, as this writer has, then you’ll know that recovery from this horrendous condition feels like a miracle for which you’ll be seeking eternal gratitude and tranquility. The only good thing to ever come from extreme cases of anxiety is that you’ll burn a lot of energy in your fear and will probably lose a lot of weight.

You can trust an electrician to save your life and to care about their Google reviews enough to ensure you want to tell the world how enlightened they are.

When Dental Crowns Go Wrong: Complications and Treatments

May 26, 2021
| Health
dental crown

Dental crowns have long been heralded as a solution to myriad dental issues, from restoring the strength and functionality of a damaged tooth to enhancing its aesthetic appeal. These tooth-shaped caps, typically made of porcelain, ceramic, metal, or a combination thereof, are custom-fitted to encase a damaged or weakened tooth, providing protection and support. While advancements in dental technology have made procedures like CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) crown placements more accessible and efficient, complications can still arise, highlighting the importance of understanding potential issues and seeking prompt treatment.

As perfect as CEREC dental crown procedures can be, complications may occur due to various factors, ranging from improper fit to underlying dental health issues. One common complication is discomfort or pain following crown placement. While some discomfort immediately after the procedure is normal as the tooth adjusts to the new crown, persistent pain could indicate issues such as nerve irritation, improper fit, or an underlying infection. It’s crucial to communicate any discomfort to your dentist promptly to address potential concerns.

Another complication that may arise with dental crowns is sensitivity. While mild sensitivity to hot or cold substances is normal immediately after crown placement, persistent or heightened sensitivity could signal an improper fit, nerve exposure, or decay beneath the crown. Your dentist may need to adjust the crown or address underlying issues to alleviate sensitivity and ensure your comfort.

Furthermore, dental crowns can sometimes become loose or dislodged, compromising their functionality and leaving the underlying tooth vulnerable to damage or decay. This may occur due to factors such as inadequate cementation, trauma, or underlying structural issues with the tooth. If your crown feels loose or comes off entirely, it’s essential to see your dentist promptly to prevent further complications and secure the crown back in place.

In some cases, dental crowns may cause gum irritation or inflammation. This can occur if the crown margin is too close to the gum line, leading to irritation and potential gum recession. Additionally, inadequate oral hygiene or plaque buildup around the crown can contribute to gum inflammation and periodontal issues. Regular dental visits and meticulous oral care are crucial for maintaining gum health and preventing complications associated with dental crowns.

While complications with dental crowns can be concerning, prompt treatment and proactive dental care can often resolve these issues effectively. Treatment approaches may vary depending on the nature and severity of the complication but may include:

1. Adjustment or Replacement: If a dental crown is causing discomfort, sensitivity, or other issues, your dentist may need to adjust the fit or replace the crown entirely to ensure proper function and comfort.

2. Endodontic Therapy: If complications such as nerve irritation or infection are present, endodontic therapy, commonly known as a root canal, may be necessary to address underlying issues and preserve the tooth’s integrity.

3. Gum Treatment: If gum inflammation or recession occurs due to a poorly fitting crown, your dentist may recommend gum treatment to alleviate irritation and restore gum health. This may involve deep cleaning, medication, or other periodontal procedures.

4. Crown Recementation: If a crown becomes loose or dislodged, your dentist can often recement it back in place. However, if the crown is damaged or if underlying issues are present, a new crown may be necessary.

5. Replacement with Alternative Materials: In some cases, complications with dental crowns may prompt the need for alternative materials or treatment approaches. Your dentist will assess your specific situation and recommend the most suitable course of action.

While dental crowns can effectively restore function and aesthetics to damaged teeth, complications may arise, necessitating prompt attention and treatment. As perfect as CEREC dental crown procedures can be, it’s essential to be aware of potential issues and communicate any concerns to your dentist promptly. With proactive dental care and timely intervention, complications associated with dental crowns can often be effectively managed, ensuring the longevity and success of your dental restoration.

It is a pretty safe bet to declare that there will be new beauty products online in 2018. The beauty business is forever coming up with new creams and applications to sell more product to their predominantly female customers. Beauty is one of those intangible essentials, which sits at the top of the most important list for women in the world. We are determined by our biological imperatives and we shy away from acknowledging it. The need for the species to keep on procreating is paramount. Concepts like beauty and love are dependent upon the chemical mystery happening inside all of us.

Technological Innovations in Beauty Creams

Technological innovations are happening in the cosmetics industry all the time. New glitters and gloss, mega lashes and microbladed brows are not the stuff of Blade Runner, but shimmering at the glamour desk inside a department store near you. However, more and more consumers are purchasing their beauty products online in 2018. Retail figures show that online is up some 60% compared to bricks and mortar store sales. How about cruelty free beauty products this year? What is new in this neck of the woods? Cruelty free and vegan cosmetics are available online.

Cruelty Free Cosmetics are Becoming Increasingly Popular

Check this out to see a top-quality brand of cruelty free cosmetics available online in Australia. These products do not suffer from any drop off in quality. The only drop off is in the suffering experienced by some innocent animal in the production of a beauty cream. Some women have suffered from being thought vacuous in their search for beauty in a bottle or tub of fat, but conscious consumerism is ending that slur on their character. You can, now, maintain the health of your skin without hurting or harming animals via animal testing.

New & Safe Makeup Products Available Online

New beauty products online in 2018, include Eye of Horus Cosmetics and their stunning range of shadow palettes. Menus on Mobile Apps are Making Dollars

November 5, 2018

| Article

Ordering in at home has become a lot easier via menus on mobile apps. The takeaway and delivery of food from restaurants and cafes has become big business in Australia, especially in Sydney and Melbourne. Menus on mobile apps are making dollars for their masters in 2018. The convenience of being able to, just, pick up your phone or tablet and choose from a wide selection of cuisines is pretty cool. Now, ordering food from your favourite eatery is at the touch of a screen. Considering how many other major hassles there are living in a big city, it is great that this is not one of them.

Dark Kitchens Filling a Need

In fact, according to the latest reports, there are ‘dark kitchens’ specifically opening to service the demand from these menu app services. Dark kitchens are restaurants without tables and chairs, or home delivery food outlets only. Deliveroo in Melbourne are building dark kitchens to fill the gaps in what customers want from their service. If restaurants don’t exist in a certain area, they will build a dark kitchen to service that need. Delivery services totalled some $1.5 billion worth or orders in 2017.

Some Restaurants Balking at Charges

Menulog, Foodora, Deliveroo and Uber Eats must be the main players in the market. There have been a number of high profile restaurants withdrawing themselves from these delivery services in protest at the high margins they charge. Menulog does take a lower commission on orders than Uber Eats, but that is because restaurants usually have to deliver the food themselves. Menulog has recently introduced an in-house delivery option. However, these menus on mobile apps are making dollars for their corporate masters. Convenience is king, when it comes to innovations in the city. Time poor denizens of the city are willing to pay for a service which provides great meals as an alternative to cooking at home.

Good Food for More Australians, More Often

Click here to see an online menu from a fine Sydney catering company. They may not have an app but they provide exceptional food for all sorts of celebrations, occasions and situations. Communication and technology are increasingly at the forefront of innovations happening within the food industry in Australia and around the globe.  Good food is getting better for more people in this country, if you live in the main cities. These apps are dependent upon high density populations to make them cost effective.

Hot Healthcare Apps in the Market

November 4, 2018
| Article

There are plenty of apps on our phones in 2018, so, what are the hot healthcare apps in the market? Can the apps on our phones really make a difference to our state of health? There are apps to keep our brains sharp in the hope that we can delay the onset of dementia, especially the dreaded Alzheimer’s disease. There are apps designed to help us eat healthier foods. Plus, there are apps to assist those living with diabetes. There are, also, cancer apps to help with those conditions. In addition, there are apps for mental health and apps to deter suicide. Here are some of those healthcare apps in review.

Popular Healthy Apps

The most popular healthcare apps are those that tell us what diseases we may have from the symptoms we have. WebMD Mobile provides a free service like this for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Instant Heart Rate is pretty cool too, as it lets you use the camera in your phone to detect your pulse by placing your index finger over the lens. It beeps with every heart beat and charts your heart rate in a graph. Eyexam can let you know how good your vision is via app tests.

New Online Technologies

The online presence of dentists shows a greater embrace of new technologies. See this for yourself here in this Melbourne dental clinic example. The iBreastcheck is another app, which allows consumers to download a video showing how to correctly check your breasts for tumours.  An iPeriod Menstrual Calendar helps you keep track of your menstrual cycle. There is a Stress Check app, which can rate your stress levels according to  a chart developed by clinical psychologists. Meditation is recommended to help reduce stress levels and these kinds of apps are proving popular as well.

Apps Need Assistance from Human Beings to be Effective

There are some negative results regarding the effectiveness of these kinds of apps for healthcare and a few experts have published their poor reviews online. A Bond University study found disappointing results in regard to the testing of these apps and their health claims. Weight loss apps in particular have been shown to be less than effective, when used in isolation. Fitness apps, similarly, were unlikely to help consumers, when not used in conjunction with a fitness program or personal trainer. These apps are far more constructive if they are employed in conjunction with a hands-on service.

| Article

It is an exciting time for home chefs and catering professionals, with more and more technology appearing in the kitchen. There are refrigerators with video monitors on their doors, and computers inside them, telling cooks what is inside them and the use by date of the produce. Home chefs can look up recipes online and/or order necessary ingredients. It is a great use of space in the kitchen and a smart combination of appliance and digital device. You can have a large digital time display, which can act as an alarm for the precise cooking of particular dishes as well.

Technology in the Kitchen

Digital technology is impacting positively in today’s kitchen. Delicate cooking of ingredients like fresh fish can be done in cryovaced pouches, which are then steamed or poached at high speeds. There are ovens that have multiple types of cooking functions, which include steaming, poaching and turbo charged convection heating. Thermomixs are popular in both domestic and commercial settings, because they control the process and can be set and forgotten. The blast chiller and the cook chill system is another technological shift that is capturing the imagination of chefs in the twenty first century.

Infrared cooking has started to become the new buzz in culinary technology, especially for grilling. This radiant heat form of cooking generates much higher temperatures far more quickly. 370 degrees Celsius in just 7 minutes., which means searing meat, locking in the juices and after a short rest – super tender flesh. This is fast cooking and very suitable for commercial requirements. Super-duper home barbeques in the US are, now, featuring Infrared Grills. The BBQ has become a new outdoor kitchen, in many ways, as it is a cooking appliance with heaps of bells and whistles.

Technology through the smartphone allows home chefs to easily set up a kitchen renovation online. You can browse through thousands of images of incredible kitchen designs and pick and choose the elements which grab you. Kitchens are the new black and continue to be the most renovated room in the house, right around the globe. Kitchen make-overs are very affordable these days, as well. There really is no excuse for having a dysfunctional kitchen in your home in 2017. Cooking is fun if you have a groovy, well-appointed and designed kitchen in which to cook up a storm or two. Get some terrific technology in your kitchen and the sky is the limit, when it comes to brilliantly prepared meals at home.

| Article, Uncategorized

If you are single and ready to mingle, then you might have scouted some partner prospects online and on mobile. Nowadays, looking for “the one” has been so easy, thanks to the Internet and mobile dating applications. As a matter of fact, a research from the Pew Research Center shows that over the last two years, there is an unexpected surge on the number of dating app users among adult Americans.

Whether you’re single or just looking for interesting people to talk with, here are some of today’s mobile dating apps that you should try:

 1. Tinder

Tinder is said to have started the entire obsession on mobile dating apps. On estimate, the app has at least 50 million active users worldwide. One of Tinder’s main features is the right and left swipes. When a user comes across someone’s profile, he/she can swipe right if he/she likes the person or swipe left if not and move on. If you matched with someone, you can start exchanging messages.

 2. OkCupid

Like Tinder, OkCupid has a relatively big number of users spread across the world. The dating app has a Tinder-like feature called Quick Match. To start searching for singles in your area, you can log in using your Facebook account or sign in directly on the app.

 3. Grindr

Grindr is used mostly by gay and curious men looking for dates or hook ups. In the United States alone, it is estimated that there are at least 1 million active app users.

 4. 3ndr

As the name suggests, 3ndr encourages its users to be open to, well, the three-way fair. It works by connecting interested couples with willing individuals and vice-versa.

 5. Doubles

Just launched recently in the United Kingdom, this dating app lets users to go on a double date or bring a friend on their date. Doubles functions the same as Tinder: users can swipe who they like or dislike.

 6. HowAboutWe

HowAboutWe is a breath of fresh air on your usual mobile dating app. Instead of browsing through profiles, app users will have to give a description of the kind of date they would want.

 7. Hinge

Hinge attempts to remove the awkwardness that dating app users feel when talking to someone they don’t know. The app works by connecting you to your friends’ friends or people whom you have mutual friends on Facebook. App users can sign in using their Facebook profiles, and then identify their sexual orientation or preferences.

 8. Coffee Meets Bagel

Coffee Meets Bagel is regarded as the anti-Tinder app since users will only have one “bagel” daily. This “bagel” is a selected match based on your mutual Facebook friends. Users then have only a day to make up their mind if they like their bagel or not.

 9. Ten

Ten is somehow based on the “game” where you have to rate someone from 1 to 10. The app works by allowing its users to rate those who are near them.

 10. Zoosk

Zoosk is among the top mobile dating applications on iOS. Like any dating app, users can look around for profiles of other users and so much more through the app’s Carousel feature.

If you have other mobile dating apps in mind, let us hear them by writing your comments below!
